Does anyone have the solution?

Everyone is screaming we need to get out of Iraq. Tom Friedman of the NY Times, a huge booster for the war before we managed to screw up the "victory" so badly. Bob Herbert, also of the NY Times; Maj. Paul Hackett; all of the Democratic Senators who originally voted in favor of the quagmire; because they were too afraid of the extreme right wing of the Republican party. (Note to Democrats: GET A SPINE.) My question for all of you is: How do you suggest we do this honorably? We managed to blow up the entire infrastructure of the country and while we were busy protecting the oil fields the treasures of the ancient world were looted and big surprise, the seeds of civil war were sown.

So now that we have created this mess-everyone wants us to cut and run? I think not, we have to start by restoring electricity; getting these people running, potable water in other words rebuild the infrastructure we destroyed for some idiots idea of revenge for a slight against his daddy? The Bushes make the Borgias look like a bunch of rank amateurs. No mean feat, that; but I digress.

Speaking for myself, I never supported the rush to war in Iraq or Afganistan. Remember we were not attacked by a sovereign nation, but a terrorist organization.
