MSNBC will formally announce tomorrow that Rachel Maddow will take over the 9pm eastern time slot beginning 8 September 2008. I only have one question for the cable network-What took you so long?!
I like the Abrams show and will miss it; but it's gonna be nice to have a female anchor with her own show on the 'teevee' machine.
For those of you unfamiliar with her radio show 'The Rachel Maddow Show' on Air America where have you been these past four years? She is smart, funny, wry, and has wonderful worldview. This is a show that should not be missed. Olbermann fans should already be familiar with her she has been a contributor for quite a while and his permanent fill-in host. Here's hoping she keeps all of his viewers and brings in a ton of her own.
Election season coverage just got better; now all MSNBC has to do is rid itself of the awful 'Morning Joe' with Scarborough and it will be the best NewsChannel on the air; when they actually air news.
